Her mother didn't entirely approve the first time Sam brought Jason home with her. "A switch?" she'd asked warily, the first moment they were alone. "Sam, are you sure about this? You know how they can be. Remember when your aunt dated one? He cheated on her with a sub the second he got bored. I don’t want that to happen to you.”
Sam rolled her eyes. "I'm sure, Mom. Jason won’t do that. Just get to know him."
“All right, Sam. If you think he’ll make you happy...”
“I do,” she’d replied, and her mom sighed in resignation, nodding.
