Stephen tried to ignore the way Jon's smile lit up the room, the way his laugh did flurry fluttery things to his gut—his gut, of all places!—the way the lines crinkled around his eyes when he grinned at him, expressing humor, kindness, friendship. He tried to ignore the way Jon made him want things he told himself he would never want again. He tried to ignore the way his breath quickened whenever Jon got too close, and he tried to ignore the way his brain shut down with a needy shudder the moment Jon kissed him.
He tried. He just didn't succeed.

“Hey,” Jon said, reaching out to turn his head, making it so they were looking each other in the eyes. Why did he do that? Didn’t he know how hard Stephen worked, trying to keep him out? Didn’t he know it was next to impossible when he looked at him like that? It was for everyone’s good! Why didn’t Jon know that? “You know I’m here for you, right, Stephen? That’s not going to change.”
Sure. He said that now, looking so kind and compassionate and perfect and Jon, but just wait. He’d change his mind.
“I mean it, Stephen,” Jon continued. “No matter what.”
“You don’t understand,” Stephen managed to say, injecting enough haughtiness into the words that it was acceptable. Jon just smiled.
“Maybe not,” he said. “I want to, though.”
Stephen swallowed.

“Jon,” Stephen panted, looking up at him with wide eyes, trying to telepathically beg him for some kind of touch. “Please.”
“Please what?” Jon asked curiously, and Stephen squirmed as he trailed a hand up his thigh, ignoring any sensitive areas. He tugged absently at the ties binding his wrists to the headboard and gasped softly.
“Please...please touch me. Fuck me. Use me. Anything. Anything.”
Jon’s hand found his cock and he squeezed just so, and then it moved on, continuing to ghost along his body. Stephen whimpered. “Anything, Stephen?” he asked.
He moaned at that tone. “Oh god, Jon, please. I'm yours.”

Stephen was terrified. Jon had long since fallen asleep, one arm slung around his waist, but Stephen was strangely awake, even after all the activities that should've wore him out. He flushed at the memory, of the way Jon had touched him, like he'd always known how.
That itself was terrifying. So, too, was the way Jon had looked into his eyes, so full of warmth, of promise, of something. Stephen didn't know what to do with that. He wasn't sure he even deserved it.
“Stephen,” Jon mumbled suddenly, voice groggy with sleep as he shifted, and Stephen ended up resting his head on Jon's chest. “Go to sleep. Love you.”
That, Stephen thought as he closed his eyes and tried to sleep, was the most terrifying thing of all.

Had Stephen been a cat, he would’ve been purring, what with the way Jon was steadily running his fingers through his hair. He curled closer on the couch, his head resting in Jon’s lap, and wrapped the blanket tighter around him, not even able to bring himself to shout at the television. This movie may be godless, but he was comfortable, not to mention kind of drowsy. He just couldn’t keep his eyes open...
“Are you falling asleep?” Jon asked him then.
“Mm,” Stephen murmured, looking up at Jon with half-lidded eyes, and then he suddenly got a lot blurrier. Jon had just taken off his glasses. “Mmpf?” he managed to ask, and Jon chuckled softly.
“It’s okay, Stephen. You can take a nap.”
Stephen closed his eyes finally. I’m lucky, he thought vaguely, slowly lulled to sleep by the feel of Jon close by.
