"I'm cold, Jon," Stephen complained, shivering as he tugged on the covers. He wasn't allowed to wear pajamas unless he was sick or being punished, so sometimes things got drafty. "Stop hogging the blankets."
Jon chuckled softly, amused. "You're the blanket thief, Stephen. Not me," he said, wrapping an arm snugly around his waist.
"But I'm still cold." He pouted, giving Jon his patented puppy-dog eyes.
"You know," Jon murmured into his good ear, dropping a kiss right beneath it, "there are other ways to keep warm."
Stephen shivered again. This time, it had nothing to do with the temperature.
