M*A*S*H | Reflection of Hope | PG-13 | Hawkeye/various; Charles/Margaret

Title: Reflection of Hope
Fandom: M*A*S*H
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Internalized ableism, internalized homophobia, alcoholism (specifically used as self-medication)
Pairings: Charles/Margaret, references to past Hawkeye/Trapper, past Hawkeye/Tommy, implied Hawkeye/BJ, Hawkeye/OMC, Hawkeye/OFC, implied Hawkeye/Sidney
Summary: After the war, Hawkeye finds himself at loose ends. Writing to his friends from the 4077th helps, as does having a psychiatrist recommended by Sidney Freedman. It's not always enough, though, not struggling with mental illnesses that the medical community hasn't caught up to yet, and facing other internal turmoil he's long carried with him. He's not alone in this, not by far, and that's what he has to keep reminding himself. The war might have driven him crazy, but that doesn't mean he has to let it win.
